Finadene

Ingredients:

  • Equal parts of white vinegar and kikoman soy sauce 
  • 3-4 green or 1/2 Ed yellow onions, diced  
  • crushed red pepper to taste  
  • 1 lemon sliced lengthwise  
Preparations: 

Using a glass jar (don't use a plastic one or the vinegar will ruin it) mix the above ingredients together.
Squeeze the lemon juice into the mixture and put the lemon in the jar.  Let stand for at least 20 minutes before using on rice or meat. 

Refrigerate it, if there's any left! 


 
Banana Lumpia

Ingredients: 

  • 10 to 12 ripe bananas (Manila) 
  • sugar  
  • 1 pkg.  Lumpia wrappers 
  • 1 egg, beaten  
Preparations: 

Peel and slice bananas into half.  Place a banana slice on a lumpia wrapper and sprinkle with sugar.
Roll end once and then fold left and right side toward center and then continue to roll.  At the end, brush with egg and seal. 
Heat oil and deep fry until golden brown.


 
Lumpia

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb.  ground beef  
  • 2 Tbs.  soy sauce  
  • ½ c.  carrots, diced or sliced  
  • 1 pkg.  Lumpia wrapper  
  • ½ c.  celery, diced 
  • 2 to 3 cloves garlic, diced  
  • ¼ c. onions, diced  
  • salt  and black pepper to your taste  
  • 1 egg, beaten 
Preparations: 

Sauté ground beef, onions, garlic, soy sauce and salt and black pepper to taste.  Remove from heat and mix in carrots and celery. 
Take 1 lumpia wrapper and place about  a tablespoon of ground mixture.  Roll one end once and fold right and left sides towards center and continue to roll end. At end brush egg to seal the lumpia. 
Heat oil and deep fry until golden brown. 
May be frozen for later use.


 
Pasta Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 2 tbs. oregano  
  • 1 canned (plum) tomato  
  • 3 cloves garlic  
  • 2 tbs. olive oil  
  • 0.5 tsp. honey 
Preparations: 

Sauté garlic in a skillet with olive oil until they are brown at medium heat. Reduce heat and add tomatoes, oregano and bay leaves.  Let it simmer until sauce is thick. Add  honey to reduce acidity. Serve on top of pasta. 


 
Cheese Balls

Ingredients:

  • 2 8 oz cream cheese
  • 3 jalapeno peppers (chopped)
  • 2stalks green onions (chopped)
  • garlic to taste
  • chopped walnuts
Preparations:

Mix creame cheese, chopped peppers, chopped green onions and garlic salt together.
Place chopped walnuts on plate. Form cheese into a ball and roll on walnuts. 
Refrigerate before serving. Serve with Toll House crackers or any crackers.


 
Coconut Cheeseballs--Simple stuff!

Ingredients:

Cream Cheese - two or three 8 oz. pkg- soften  freshly grated coconut. 
Toothpicks

Preparation:

Soften a package or two or three of cream cheese (regular or "lite"), roll teaspoonfuls into balls, and roll in freshly grated coconut. Stick a toothpick in them. Oh boy, are they good!
